I'm all for God.

I'm not so keen on putting His name on papers that are used to snort coke, buy hookers, pay bribes, etc.

Besides, if the founding fathers had wanted His name on our currency, they would have put it on from the beginning. Instead, His name is defiled by the association.

Nice observation. I do think it is a good idea, however.;)

am I reading it right? There are 12 million + votes?

I don't mind them having "In God We Trust" on the currency. It's not harmed me in any way that I know of.

But it's been VERY harmful ever since they removed the statement to the effect of "In Gold We Trust" from it...

I trust in God more than I do in the future value of American currency - and I'm an agnostic!

Same here, and also sometimes obsessive and dyslexic..

So yes, there has been the occasional night where I've lain awake in bed wondering if there really is a dog.

Should the motto "In God We Trust" be removed from U.S. currency? * 12203129 responsesYes. It's a violation of the principle of separation of church and state.

14% dotRed.gifNo. The motto has historical and patriotic significance and does nothing to establish a state religion.

Even though you meant that as a joke, there is alot of truth in that. I know alot of people and have alot of acquaintances. I have a handful of friends.

For free range time and discounted ammo I will be your friend. For free ammo you can take out my girlfriend.

:D
