Greetings,

Subject says it all.  I've decided to pick up one of these.  I had one years ago, but hated the rotary magazine, so I'm looking to try one of the newer models (26968) that uses AR mags.  East TN area, or reasonable driving distance.

If you still have the rotary mag gun, Ruger will sell you the magwell and mag release to convert it to AR mags.  A friend recently did this and Ruger charged him about $30.

Thanks for the comments.  I sold mine 2-3 years ago, so converting to the AR mags isn't an option.   The ability to use AR mags I already have will make this worth trying again for me.   Certainly nothing urgent, and I'll be happy to just buy a new one when/if they get in stock anywhere.

Isn't the bolt different also to convert it to use AR mags? Seems like I read somewhere the bolt was narrower on the bottom so it would fit through the magazine lips.
