I like the shorter barrel on this one.

I am looking for shorter stocked 20 gauge pump.

Mossberg 590a1 and 500 stocks are way way way too long for me and I can't pump with it against my shoulder or even shoot it. I'm only 5 ft.

Looks like it would be an ideal size for you. 12" length of pull is pretty short...

Remington 870's are top notch shotguns. There should be no issues with quality.

You didn't state what your intended purpose was so I hope 20ga will be enough gun to do what you needed.

You can't go wrong with an 870 and 20ga is perfectly fine for self defense.

It appears to be about 1-1/2" Shorter than the standard 870 20guage with an 18.5" barrell.

Also its a wingmaster, so it will have the Nice Walnut stocks and high gloss blue and overall better appearance. I also believe they are just a better fit and finish shotgun. I own two older wingmasters and wouldn't trade them for a New Express model.

If you live close to a Gander Mountain you may be able to go there and hold one. As everone else said the 870 is a great shotgun.

The 870 is a great gun, I have one, my son has one, my dad has one. That said you will be limited some what on your ammo choices with the 20ga. But that may be fine depending on what you intend to use it for.

Concerning the lenght, without regard to your height. If your arms and shoulders are about average for an adult I suspect this gun will be to shorter for you.
