Due to the weather last night my girlfriend was forced to stay with me rather than drive back to Covington. Yes, it was Hell for me, but I soldiered through it.

About 10 this morning we decided to walk to the Cupboard restaurant on Union, a journey of a couple of blocks. We both enjoyed our greasy-spoon type breakfasts and started walking back about 45 minutes later. Up ahead a little ways was a bum of about 45 years old I am used to seeing in the area. He saw us coming and proceeded to industriously pick up some pieces of cardboard out of the snow on the sidewalk and place them against a nearby storefront. As we neared him he cheerfully called out "Good Morning Sir!" and I responded with one word: "Nope!" while shaking my head.

The transformation was interesting. He started yelling stuff like "Obama in the White House got the white folk scared!", "We in the the White House Now!", "OBAMA!", "WHOOO!", and the like, while doing a half dance half strut. At first it seemed like he was going to let us walk past him, but I was going to have no part of that and slowed our walk substantially. He started walking up the sidewalk in front of us dancing, strutting, yelling, and looking back at us a lot. He was in no way demonstrating an intent to do more than taunt us, and kept ahead of us a decent ways on the walk. This continued until we got to McNeil St. where I hit the crossing button at the light to cross over Union. At this point I have to tell you his antics had both my girlfriend and I laughing out loud. The guy was pretty funny to watch.

He crossed over McNeil, putting a good bit of distance between us, I am a fairly big guy I might add, and then changed his tune while we were waiting for the light. Now he started calling me a "Punk Assed Cracker MFer" and my girlfriend a "White B!tch Ho!". My country-girl girlfriend looked at him way over across the street and mentioned to me, "He certainly is a brave one. Explain to me again why you live in Midtown?"

I hope I see him again soon, because I want to thank him for giving my girlfriend and I new "pet names" for each other. We are having fun with them!

Frankly by that time we were so tickled it just added to the humor. Had he said those things to me at close range without the preceding 'entertainment' I might have become a little annoyed. Trust me, you would have been laughing your butt off also.

If you see a white guy, or he appears to be white, maybe some latin or something in him, hard to say because of the dirt, that is wearing tights, shorts, or one of those boxers padded crotch pad things, a cape, different scarf's, and other strange stuff, be careful. He is schizofrenic, and hates to take his meds. He has hurt several case workers in the past. I have "met" him on several occasions when I worked for the bank.

Also, right in that area, there use to be a light skinned black guy, he was always had his hands in a fist and would be tapping one fist with the other fist, if that makes sense. He is pretty aggressive.

I use to work at a bank beside tops bbq there at Union and Claybrook. Bank has closed that location and I left the bank. I was the branch manager there and put up with all sorts of crap from the homeless, panhandlers, the crazys and can't forget the cross dressing prostitutes...

I'd like to apologize for that incident on behalf of all of the black folks (like myself) that haven't compeltely lost their mine.

In other news.. A buddy of mine who lives in a black neighborhood in downtown Kansas City had a somewhat similar experience right after the election.. none of the businesses would serve Caucasians.. PQ, you are no more responsible for that moron than I am responsible for the liberal idiots who think carbon 'cap and trade' is a great idea (it isn't, unless destruction of the economy is the goal).

Deciding to live at others' expense isn't a racial characteristic, it is a moral characteristic. The problem the street bum has is the same problem that Obama has - what do you do when other people decide to quit funding your fantasies? The street bum will turn to mugging and burglary. Obama? Same thing, just with badges.

As far as the racism your friend reported, the unfortunate truth is that the majority of racism, along with the majority of crime, comes from blacks (although mexicans are trying very hard to catch up). Its' just extremely non-PC to say so. This wasn't the case 50 years ago - I'm personally certain that the fault lies with welfare programs which seem custom designed to destroy family values, pride, and self esteem.

Its' a damn shame that our nations' first 'black' president happens to be a flaming socialist.

Dang man you are right down the street from University. I'll give ya a call next time I'm out there we'll grab lunch or something.

Rick that kinda crap is funny. We get alot of "street people" in at the hospital and alot of just scum period. Alot of them have become "empowered" since Obama got elected. I had a guy tell me the other day that he "didn't have to take my because a black man was president". I politely disagreed and escorted the man away from my facility with his arm in a painful position.
