First off let me say these are one off items. I don't see them being repeated anytime in the near future. The letter opener was made cause it was completely worn out and just hated to throw it away.

The Tanto Kata- Aizu Shintogo pair were made cause I just wanted to see if I could. They are sooooo labor intensive and in no way I can rush through one. I can't tell you how many times I just said the heck with it and left it on my work bench and walked away. If you can't handle tedious then this isn't something you should consider making.

Well you beat me to getting the pictures posted to the forum. I was going to try and get them this weekend.

I will just say the pictures do not come close to the beauty and craftsmanship of these pieces.

The letter opener can open letters, boxes, change tires, remove walls etc. It sits proudly on my desk at home.

My wife did let me keep the red Tanto but she took the other one and it sits in her display cabinet by her chair. She is constantly admiring it. Now I have to sleep with one eye open.

Thanks for adding more beautiful, handmade, quality items to our home.
