Great pistol. I have a few Smiths, but nothing like that. Best I can claim is a 6" 38 Special that my Dad used in the 50s/60s when he was into competative shooting. Never really researched it, but have been told it's a late 30's, early 40s vintage.

I really like your revolver, shoot it and enjoy it.

My two oldest guns, that are in shootable condition, are both .22s, one is a pump made in 1909 and the other is a single shot made around 1935-37. I don't shoot them as much as I use to but they do get out a few times a year. Till I knew better I even shot high velocity ammo in them but have switched to standard now. They were my first 2  rifles given to me by my father.

Good for you, Greg.  I think as long as they are sound, old guns should be shot occasionally.  Heck, I have old ones from WWI & WWII (ie. M1 Garand, Mosin-Nagant, Mauser, 1911's) and some even older that I pull out once in a while to fire.  I have given some friends and acquaintances great memories by letting them fire a classic.

Enjoy.........

I’ll usually drag out an old classic or two when friends come over to shoot. I really like shooting my Luger. An M1 Carbine or an 1899 Savage will put a smile on most anybody’s face.

It is fun to see a newer shooter fire something they’ve never heard of.
