and thought it would be a positive thing amoungst this crappy politcal mess going on.

Love the sentiment. But it has it own politics!

In the spirit of playing along.

I've had a metric ton of things, which is only a smattering of what I'm some of the more life experienced here have had. To make this more fair, you really have to consider platforms that you have run several thousand rounds thru to get a good sense of new vs worn in, and issues with mag designs as they age.

Across mine, only one has never every failed to go boom in about 30+ years.  My 92 with 15k+ rounds thru it. Even old worn mag springs dont seem to stop it.

I've had a couple nose dives from Glocks, but that is considering I run 6 or 7 different ones and was more mag related.

Never had a problem out of a CZ, but dont have nearly the round counts thru me compared to others.

Generally I think most are pretty damn good.

I could say, there is one platform that I love (and so does pretty much everyone else) which I WISHED was more reliable. Because it is a political thing, I ain't gonna say it out loud. But its not hard to guess what every serious American gun owner has or has had over their time.

Uh oh . I hope I didn't start a mess. When I see people posting popcorn its not good.

Maybe most will pass it on by. I have no idea what ruckus caused the enough is enough, but the stink of it may keep it toned down. I trust some who dont see it as a problem to say will be along.

This topic almost always devolves into US made vs Foreign junk or some kind of brand alignment deal. We shall see.

No, not at all!  It was a good post worthy of your time, effort, and experience.  Put it back up.

The popcorn comes from a prediction of what is bound to happen this being a gun forum and all (or any Internet forum).  Folks will come along to add their two cents of what is better or critique what works for you.

I own a Firestar in .45 and one on 9mm. This is my second .45 and neither has ever failed. It doesn't matter if you like them or not. I didn't buy them for you. By the same token, what I think of someone else's choice shouldn't matter. If it fits you and functions that's all that matters.

So yeah, put it back up, I want to read it too. We're all adults aren't we?

Yes, Please. I'll back you! Foreign JUNK? You mean like Walther, Sig, H&K, CZ, Glock, Beretta (yeah the last two do have manufacturing/assembly facilities here), Canik, IWI/IMI, those darn AK rifles, and all the others I can't name at the moment?

It was a good list. As I recall, in order:

1.  Glock.  Gens 1-3

2.  Ruger P series

3.  Beretta 92

4.  There was a fourth but I don’t recall what it was

Seriously though, who puts foreign Austrian junk before Italian junk. The sacrilege of plastic before metal. Maybe it’s a good thing to have stopped it in its tracks!!

At least no one has the insanity to mention the steaming piles coming out of Croatia.

/sarcasm off

@tercel89

Don't let these guys get you down. There's a hint of evil to 'em! 😉

I glanced at your list before work yesterday morning and as best I can recall I pretty much agreed with you.

So did a bunch of these folks, but they just enjoy arguing... about anything. LOL
