AK Pistol

Okay, there are a few threads about AR pistols recently, and I had an idea.

I've always wanted an AK pistol, but they seem kind of impractical to shoot.

You can't have a stock, I mean I could go the SBR route I suppose:rolleyes:

Would it be legal; On the rear trunion, that's supposed to be dummied up so you can't attach a stock, you drill and tap for a sling. Using a very wide and sturdy sling, that could be looped around your head and under your right arm, to give you something to push out against????? It's an effort to reduce fatigue and awkwardness of supporting the weapon. I might work? I might be a dumbass:D

Yeah, you basically weld a back plate to the receiver. If you rear trunnion has the top tang, you will have to cut/mill it off. The good thing is even with the rear tang cut you could still take the back plate off and still use an Ace internal block and rear stock. Of course you would have to ignore BATF laws to convert it back though!:stare:

Can someone chime in and clarify the whole rifle to pistol debate? I know BATFE says once its SBRed you cant take it back to a pistol, but how does that jibe with the removable stock that is made for Glocks? Or is it just that once you SBR the glock it remains an SBR even with the stock removed??
