So, i'm a pig hunter. Rabidly so, in fact. I prefer hunting hogs to just about anything else on the planet. I've hunted them in 8 states & on 3 continents.

But tonight I did something I never ever thought i'd manage.

I.

Shot.

A.

MONSTER!

I have to add, this was completely free range. No lodge, no fences, no pay-to-play & it was here in middle TN.... just a straight up hand to God feral hog. I've seen big pigs before. The kind of hogs that really get your blood pumping, but in 12 years & probably thousands of hours of hunt time I've never, ever seen a pig like this.

12 FOOT, running neck shot with my .300blk.

Glory. How’d you get that thing in the truck?

4 guys, 12 beers & knocking on a couple of farmers doors to beg the use of a tractor with a front loader!

Congrats. I’ve never seen anything like that in middle Tennessee.

Or anywhere that’s not behind a fence for that matter.

She's been living in an area with a lot of dairy & beef farms. Her stomach contents were 90% cattle feed. They don't get this big on purely wild forage.

Chuck, that reminds me of a very early Southpark episode where the boys want to cross an elephant and a pig for a science experiment.  Chef tells them the only way to do it is to get the elephant good and drunk.  Only problem is the next morning you wake up next to some big fat pig.   The really funny part was the video to go along with it.

If anyone has 3 minutes of thier lives they don't want back, you can watch it here.  Pretty funny.

I am in North Marshall and am waiting for them to arrive.  Surprised they aren't here yet (or at least I haven't seen them).

where at? I've never seen one  around here

Between Lynchburg & Winchester. They're not really around here like they are up on the plateau, but since the big tornado plowed through in 2012 & a couple of operations around here & Jackson Co. AL lost their fences, they've been a few show up here & there.
