White Christmas

It’s been steadily snowing here in Knoxville for the past couple of hours.  Temps are dropping and it looks like it’s sticking to the streets, well at least here on my residential boulevard.

I can't recall ever seeing snow in Knoxville on Christmas. I was not expecting the level we are seeing near downtown. It's madness outside on the roads. I've already helped a few neighbors push or get unstuck. I got cussed at as well and had to remind a woman it was Christmas.

Side note, these traction boards sure are handy.

Stay safe and Merry Christmas.

Did it snow today?  😛

My bad. I was busy pushing a girl in a Camaro while she smoked a joint. 😅 I bet @Chucktshoeswill merge my thread with yours.

I have a friend who lives in Knoxville, and she's ecstatic about a White Christmas for her family.  Already sent me pictures of her German Shephard in the snow.

It’s beautiful.

Looks like it missed us. I wasn’t really in a snow plowing mood anyway.

It does look pretty in Erik’s picture.

Was the girl smoking a joint in the ditch hot?

No she was not. But she was very nice and in a great mood. 🙂

Seems like you’re in a pretty good mood as well. Did she share a toke?

Wow. I know people in the White House area that are cursing you guys right now. lol

A young friend of ours and her kids have been wanting snow for the past month. Guess they will just have to wait.

Edit   Well, just looked out here in East Nasty and the ground has a dusting, and still coming down.

Might see some after all.

No. I put in all that work and she didn't offer to share. So rude.

That’s a great picture Greyfox. I had people at work ask “How do people up North drive in all that snow?” I usually replied “Well you know, there are speeds besides 5 and 70.”

Light dusting here in Murfreesboro this morning.

One thing great about when it snows here; I take the stand “God put it there, and God will take it away”. My snow shoveling days are behind me.

Light dusting here in Lascassas Dave. Lofton road is white with a thin lawyer of snow. A brisk 17 at my house this morning.

We've got over an inch south of Lenior City,  using the reliable index finger as a ruler.  Don't plan on going anywhere in the car.  Saw a snow plow last night on one of the county roads last night, and a vehicle on the same road just a few minutes ago moving along w/o trouble, so maybe the roads are in decent shape for those that get out today going to grandma's house.

Merry Christmas to everyone, stay safe and be well.

Just a bit more than a dusting to 1 inch here in Mt Juliet. Some what of a white Christmas any way, I will take it as is.

Growing up in Lenoir City we would always got less snow than Knoxville. It never failed. I never could figure out why. We got around 3-3.5" near downtown Knoxville.
