High End Holster Porn

So Lets just say Im a pretty happy guy right now. I placed a order with Eric from http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/ last Monday. Called him back on Weds to see if I could make a change to the order. He had already started but said no problem. So he kep the first 1 he started on to sell in his online store. So actually this holster was started Thursday Feb 19. I get home today & whats in my mailbox?

Its a Com 3 with Gator Trim for my New XD-M. Hopefully by next week I will have my matching Gator Gun-Belt. The fit finish & work on this holster is the best Ive seen & the turn around time is super fast as well. I hope you all like because I know I do. Well here it is.

Now, I don't mean to be crass, but why would you want to pay extra to add gator to a holster, when the holster is IWB and it will not be seen???

Well for 1 thats what I wanted & I thought it would look good even if its typically not gonna be seen. Plus when I say there a gator in my pants I will be telling the truth.

Thanks & I hope the way I put it that it doesnt come across harsh or pissy but really theres no logical reason to add something exotic to a IWB holster I just couldnt think of any other way to put it. Plus I have a Gator belt coming so I may as well have them match.

Nice holster.I am partial to Milt Sparks leather myself.High end holsters cost a little more and sometimes you have to wait but you get what you pay for.

Well honestly I've only had MTAC Holsters from Comp-Tac to compare it to. First time in it was a little tight. After wearing it for a bit & getting used to it.

I must say it's smooth as butter. I think I'm in love with some leather.

Very nice looking holster you have, there.

After having worn my HBELeatherworks holster for most of the past almost-six-months now (kind of strange to think about, really), I can honestly say that he does some remarkably fine craftsmanship. Effectively no wear, no discoloration, and it still holds on to my PPS quite effectively, even after using it once for an IDPA match. My one recommendation is to go ahead and slap some standard leather treatment on it, and then find some leather waterproofing and spray that on - in the summer, it is going to get damp, and mine does not seem to be the worse for wear for doing it.

Looks nice. I dont need the fancy skin but he got his start making CZ holsters and makes them for clones.

Maybe I'll be looking for something for an EAA Witness in the future.........

I recently bought an HBE Leatherworks holster as well, similar to the one the OP has but without the fancy gator skin.

I really like it a lot. That extra tab of leather underneath the muzzle does a lot to make it more comfortable. I have a Milt Sparks VM2 as well and find this to be more comfortable.

Really humm I have had 6 holsters and a belt from Josh but it has been a while since I have had him do any thing. Hate to hear his CS has gone down hill.

Last holster was Mitch Rosen cause I like the OWB's that are off set for comfort.
