My PSA AK was languishing in some terrible OD polymer furniture from the factory.

Found some proper Russian furniture to make it a proper AK.

Wow!  I wonder if I could get furniture like that for my AK shotgun?

Looks very good brother!

But does your wife know you laid that possibly oily thing on such a nice quilt?

Looks good, but isn't that kinda like kissing your sister and calling it a home run? 😉 AK are one of the few things where I say the American made is not better. Too bad none of the old stuff is being imported anymore. I do think that looks much better with the wood though.

I hear the PSA stuff has gotten better since Gen 1, but I know it got a bad wrap for a while.

I don't own one, sadly, but do like the looks of the new PSAK's. Shot one and it's pretty much like shooting my old WASR10.

Been in that spot. Got caught cleaning pistols on the kitchen table.

It was the Hoppes 9 that gave me away.

American made AKs have definitely struggled. (Especially anything made stateside by Century. They need to stick to importing.) The PSA GF3s have gotten mostly positive reviews, so we will see if I got a good one or not. Regardless, there was no way I was going to be able to put enough rounds down range with that awful poly furniture. It wasn’t just ugly, it didn’t feel good while shooting it.

My wife gets terrible migraines that can be brought on by lights or smells. I was using Hoppes #9. She said if I going to have to that out in the garage. I switched to M-Pro 7 and I’m back to doing it in the house with no repercussions.
