Anybody know what one of these are worth? I have one that was left on my property when I bought it. I know there are some pieces missing but not sure what. My neighbor wants to buy it, he offered me $150. I think it might be worth more than that in scrap, much less for what it is. I'm a city boy who doesn't have a clue.

I suggest you use it! Nothing like baling and loading some square bales in the middle of the summer to make you feel alive!

Seriously sale that baby.

Lets see, parts missing, we don't know what, we know nothing about it. A decent operating square baler will bring $1000.. Unless you want to research the actual condition of the baler and the cost of parts to repair it may be in your best interest to take the money and run. There is a lot of parts interchangeability in some of the old balers but do you want to go there? If it were an old Ford tractor I would comment farther:D. Scrap prices are half what they were six months ago so I doubt if it is worth more as scrap.

Scrap prices here are far less than half of what they were last year. They tanked around the first of September, and have seemed to slide since. I believe it's currently well below $30 a ton, though this time last year it was almost 200. I'd sell it.

Take the offer before he changes his mind and you have to pay someone $150.00 to come haul it off. Seriously, there are many parts on those old balers that cost more than the baler is worth. These old

Ford balers are not real desirable even when running condition.
