Need some help.

I'm here in need of help from the TGO Community.

Some are going to have no idea what I'm talking about but hopefully you can gain some knowledge of this missing part of my life

I'm looking for a restaurant in middle Tennessee that has a Indiana Tenderloin Sandwich.

For those who are  lost an Indiana Tenderloin Sandwich is a paper thin breaded tenderloin the size of a dinner plate on a much smaller bun. My dad's family is from Southern Indiana so I have had a many of them but have lost the urge over the years to drive up there for one (which I have done).

The last one I found was at the old truck stop in Westmoreland years ago.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

I have eaten a lot of tenderloin sandwiches over the years, had no idea that they had anything to do with Indiana.  Why not just make your own?

That old truck stop had some pretty good food.

I think Harper’s in Scottsville Kentucky may have that which you seek.

The Dairy Burger in Hermitage Springs also has a tenderloin sandwich on the menu.

Guess you are right about it being Truck stop food, as much as I hate to admit it. In Indiana they are at almost every restaurant. Tried the one at Culvers and was not impressed.

Will have to check out the one at Hanks.

Thank you.

Well Harper's was a bust so the search continues.

Really? They had one on the menu. No good?

Dairy Burger in Hermatige Springs is the only other place close to us I can think of.

Too thick. The one I'm looking for is a hammered/pressed thin breaded pork tenderlion. Theirs is a porkchop without a bone.

I will keep looking but it might take driving north. Did have a nice drive up the backway yesterday through Macon county.

I know just what you're looking for, I haven't found any in NE TN either. My wife and I always had one when we would go to visit her Mother but have not had many reasons to go to Indiana since she passed. I almost ordered what I thought was the same thing in Johnson City and luckily I mentioned to the friends with me that I was surprised to find it on the menu and they were quick to tell me it was not what I was looking for and when I asked the waitress she assured me it was not what I wanted but thought it sounded good.

Wow! Indiana tenderloin sandwiches.

My wife is from Muncie. We go back once a year and I always get bribed by going to Timber’s to get a tenderloin sandwich.

As  a fellow Indiana connoisseur of fine breaded tenderloins (lettuce mayo and onion) I will be watching for a location in Eastern TN.
