EVEN 20 GAUGE

Trap or target loads in 20 gauge are all but non existent-really never expected it to ever be difficult to find target or trap loads.

The only thing I can think of is either their has been a ton of lies told about how 7 1/2 shot is good for self defense or the manufacturers have heavily geared up to load a butt load of buckshot.

Which shorts a lot of the off popular loads for a later date.

Anyone have a clue why?

I suspect if it is ammo, if gets sold quickly. A hardware store in Livingston, Tn. had quite a lot of ammo yesterday morning. I was getting a key cut and just walked the counter, I am sure it was expensive, but they had most of what folks are looking for.

I have joined MSSA and now have somewhere to shoot without having to wear masks and stay 150 feet from another person.

I have enough brass ammo in rifle and pistol to keep me shooting for awhile but thought it would be nice to break a few clay birds.

I have enough to shoot a little of 20 gauge but thought I would look for a few extra boxes-of 20 gauge-not the most popular shotgun gauge-not when compared to 12.

Yep, I noticed 20 ga. birdshot was almost non-existent last weekend.  Can't explain that one.

I ordered tungsten shot to load coyote shells and got online to order empty hulls to load and pretty much everything is sold out. I certainly wasn't expecting to see that.

I found Winchester 20 gauge trap and target load at Bass Pro at $28.00 per 100-which I think is reasonable and they had quite a bit.

They aren’t bad considering you can’t get it elsewhere at all.   I bought quite a bit of  44 mag and 17hmr  in Byrdstown a little while back

Wal Marche in Crossville had 100-round boxes of 12 g on the shelf for $22.00 yesterday. Just a few boxes, though.
