STRIPPER CLIPS?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I was going through things today and I have what I think is a 1910 ammo belt for the 1903 Springfield?? Anyway it’s a 10 pocket ammo belt with 5 round 30-06 ammo on stripper clips. If I remove rounds to look at the headstamp, can I put them back, or do the tabs break? Or should I quit messing around and just leave them alone.

Brass stripper clips?  The tabs should bend, not break, usually.  They are reusable to an extent.

Yea, I concur, should be ok to check.  But, are you going to use them, offer them for sale, or something?   Otherwise, why mess with it until you have to, just in case.  If you do, just out of curiosity, be sure to document it, if like me, a few months from now you'll be curious again.
