Maybe two freezers, that's a lot of meat.  Good luck.

Turns out there was a nice 10 pointer where I hunt. Never saw him before.😃 They were really moving this morning.

Nice, congrats!  No movement around me, yet.  I've heard maybe one shot from deer hunters, but am close to some duck hunting area and heard a bunch from them.

Real nice one Greg. I didn't go this morning. Maybe tomorrow. He looks to have good mass, length, and everything. Nice.

Tomorrow morning should be good weather wise.

Thanks. Not the biggest deer I ever killed, but it is the best rack.

Mounting?  If not, he'd make an awesome European.

I'll probably put the antlers on a plaque.

Doing a DIY European mount is not too hard, should give it a try, mine turned out great.

That is a great rake.  Very symmetrical. It would make a great European mount.

I've never mounted any. I have got 5 or 6 on plaques though.

I have one 8 pointer mounted. He was in full velvet the day after Thanksgiving.

My wife has a spike mounted. She went out and shot it just to show her brother she could. She had it mounted so he wouldn’t forget.

What time did you get him this morning?

About 7:30 or quarter til 8. It was still pretty foggy.

Greg, what rifle do you have there? I used a old Savage 110 .30-06. It got it from  my brother. It was just action and stock. I put a .30-06 barrel that was used on it.

Nice buck, Quavodus!

That rifle is a Model 70 Winchester featherweight chambered in 280 Remington.

I’ve never had a Savage that wasn’t really accurate.

I've got another 110E that I bought 30 years ago in .223 Rem. I used to kill a lot of groundhogs and crows with it. It's a good shooter with 55 gr. Sierra Spitzers and Win. 748.

I killed my first deer with a Savage model 110 bolt gun in 308 Caliber and killed several with it over the years. The gun was very accurate all the time.
