Hope you get to feeling better and can hunt more. My job has me pretty busy right now.

I didn't get to go Monday because of my wife's surgery and Tuesday's weather was bad. Went this morning and stayed till 10:30 until my daughter text me if I was gonna come in and eat. I didn't see anything anyway. I was hungry too.

Nothing to brag about, but I haven't seen a good deer where I hunt this year. I bought a new dehydrator, and want to see if it works. My patience ran out around 7am this morning.😀

He will do, I dropped a small 4, maybe three as I didn't measure, on Wednesday. Usually drop does, so any buck with horns will suffice.

I would have preferred a doe, but bucks were all I saw this morning...until I shot this guy. Then does were everywhere! I still have some work to do on patience.

Been too warm in Jonesborough, I had a couple 8pt beauts on my property a month ago I caught on the camera, I know they're here. Been seeing does the last few days but no bucks. I think Mon/Tues is going to be it...

Nice buck Greg, if one like that walks by me I have a Henry .44 magnum waiting.

You know, I'm getting old and lazy. Processing a deer is now a pretty sizeable job.🙄

Yeah, it can be a  JOB!

The work begins at the pull of the trigger. LOL  Nice deer Greg, you can't eat them ole horns anyways, make nice hat racks though.

Lol, that is why I will shoot a deer for friends but they have to get it processed (or do their own) because it is not only labor intensive, but it takes some time, time which I could be hunting.

I really prefer to do my own. I guess I'm picky.

Yea, me too.  I have only paid to have one processed, and that was to make sure the processor did a good job before recommending him to friends.  But like I said, I won't do it for others, because it does take some work, and is time consuming to do properly, and I wouldn't feel right if I cut corners just because I wasn't keeping the venison.

A friend told me a little while ago he went this morning and left at 9:00 because he had to work tonight. He saw a doe at 7:30 and waited till he needed to leave and never saw anything else. Anyway his neighbor was hunting about 300 yards from him and killed a really nice 8 point about 10:00. He saw  probably the same doe. That's the way it goes I guess.

Tomorrow promises to be a good hunting day weather wise.

Hope so, need me one, looking for a doe, and won't be able to go after tomorrow, maybe Tuesday morning but it may be cut short if the carport guys show up early.
