I got the night off in Nashville. If anybody wants to come have a drink at the Bootleggers Inn on lower Broadway, I’m buying. I’ll be here until I’m not. 😁

Shoot me a text if any of y’all decide to get out of the house.

Nice offer, but you’re gonna have to come north a ways to get me outta the house.

I hope you enjoy Nashville. Cut a hole in your mask big enough for a longneck.

If I leave Bristol now....

I went through Bristol las year. I’ve made several trips to North Carolina, but holy crap! I didn’t realize there was so much Northern Tennessee east of Knoxville! It seemed like that stretch of interstate was longer than driving all the way through Virginia.

It's not. Just quieter. I've done the Bristol to Richmond  and Bristol to DC run many many times in my youth. You must admit though it's A pretty drive.

Apparently the bars here on south Broadway close early so I’m closing this early. Weak sauce Nashville. Y’all need to fix y’all’s Mayor.

There's a reason we call it the far east.

Oh no. I used to do Bristol to DC on a regular basis. It was easy in the seventies and eighties, but by the 1990's it was a nightmare. I once sat in a traffic stoppage for over 3 hours at the I81 and I64 junction. 6 tractor/trailer pileup. Complete with fire, hazmat, and dead bodies.

DC is a fine place to visit...really a must for everyone, but the last time I went there about 15 years ago it was a nightmare.

There’s a lot in DC I’d love to see, but don’t like lab on ever going there.

We had some family in Alexandria so back in the early nineties we'd take the kids up and head into DC on the metro. It was a lot of fun. I've wandered through neighborhoods so sketchy that the black women would stop us and try to point us in the right direction. It was a hoot. I still love DC. It doesn't hurt that I saw CSNY at the McDonough Arena back in the early 70's.

I guess the bars close late enough. I do not remember making this post or my Lyft ride back to my truck. 😂

Not sure what you just said, but go!  It’s a PITA driving up there but the museums and history are well worth it...and free.

My last visit there was to a gentleman’s club in a really nice part of DC...as I recall. Buddy of mine got married in Fairfax or whatever all that mess in VA is and an old school taxi was hailed.

Can't let everything thats going on stop you from living. Its one of the best places for the history of this country.. We've been several times and that includes running smack dab into a metoo pu$$yhat protest.

A solid week might put a dent on the museums.

The war memorials alone are worth fighting the traffic to get there. I just treat i66 like I do 40 81 etc around here. We usually stay close to the capital and walk to most attractions
