This is so true....but i know some LEO officers and agents that could shoot my d987 in the dirt and im a pretty damn good! Much respect to LEO.

I know a couple cops who shoot lights-out, but they didn’t learn it at work.  No disrespect meant to the LEO community and the ego thing is not just cops.  I cringe when I hear a new competitive shooter say “I’ve been shooting X years and I know how to use a pistol.”  Sometimes I am wrong.  I would rather train a newbie female because they don’t have to put their ego away.  Their attitude is usually “I don’t know what to do, so teach me” vs “my granddaddy taught me to shoot and I really don’t need to listen to this” that some guys are thinking.

Cops are just people; just like any other shooter. They also aren’t the only ones with big ego’s. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen shooters that call themselves trained say “There is no such thing as an AD; only ND’s” or “They had to have pulled the trigger” or “A gun can’t fire without pulling the trigger”. People that say that just haven’t been around guns much. But their egos’ get a little bruised when you tell them that. 🤣

When I met my wife she was scared to death of guns.  I laid a AK on the table and yelled at it to shoot about 5 times.  She said "what the h-- is wrong with you"  I sad I'm proving a point.  She eventually got it has been an avid shooter for 15 years now.

I dont go to any ranges anymore... I have seen some crazy shiz like a guy ADing a round through the roof.  Newbie do not need striker fired guns with no external safety.  Far be it from me to tell anyone they should not own a gun.....but I am telling you now with the stories I have heard from my friends and some of what I have witnessed.......some people should not own a gun.

I am blessed to work for accompany that gives me access to rock quarries so I can shoot any distance I please any time I want.

Newbies need coaching.  They need for their gun-owning friends to adopt them and mentor them, to make them good custodians of the new power in their hands.

Capitalism. You really wouldn't want it any other way. Anyone not prepared at this point in time is either impoverished, ignorant, or lazy.

I’m pretty prepared after the last dry spell ended taught me a lesson. I’m not storing my stuff in the same boat anymore either!! 🙃

GAG has gone to MSRP in the last week or so. This is just a plain 6” S&W 686 (164224) that I was tracking new price on, while trying to find something used.

01/20/20 $664.99

 05/25/20 $703.99 +5.86%

 7/10/20 $707.99 +6.47%

11/05/20 $729.99 +9.77%

11/29/20 $789.99 +18.80%

12/15/20 $853.00 +28.27%

Since January S&W raised the MSRP $20 or 2.4% (that happened in the last couple of weeks). During that same time GAG has increased the price $188 or 28.27%

I’m not picking on GAG; they are the main one I was tracking, as they have had the best prices until now.

Most reputable places don’t mess with the price if they don’t have the gun in stock. Some less reputable places list a much lower price when they don’t have them, and then raise it when they do. Some don’t list a price if they don’t have the gun.

Maybe GAG has decided to list MSRP on guns they don’t have and will price them accordingly when they available; I don’t know.

There's  place in my town that are marking pistols $20 above MSRP. Almost all gun places usually are $75 or more below MSRP or at least they used to be before this mess happened.  I saw a used Glock 17 gen 2 for sale the other day for $720.
