Change of the Guard

With cold weather here, I have switched to OWB (under a sweater). I just retired 640 to safe and strapped on a "new" EDC. Saturday I picked up a S&W M&P (pre-10)with a 2" barrel and factory nickel. Gun was only fired once or twice and then carefully put away. I bought it from daughter of original owner. It's riding in a Minimalist holster at 2 o'clock.

Nice S&W. Years ago when money was really tight I sold a pristine model 10 that had been my Grandfathers. I still carry a good amount of shame over that sale. I'm looking to replace it these days but I would dearly love to find the guy I sold mine to.

a. Suspenders: As I get older I lose my hips and gain a belly! I have to buy trousers a size larger but they slide down with any weight on belt. The Perry suspenders really help keep things together. I wear them covered up by outer garment in winter and I don't wear them in warm wx. 642 in pocket doesn't drag my pants down.

b. Weather change. No, I had already switched from 642 to 640 in November, but I just now found the M&P. I guess I was pretty ambiguous in my wording at the beginning of the post.

I know what you mean. I've contemplated suspenders myself. Still may give it a try.

Go with the Perry suspenders, you will never regret it. They are heavy duty but also easy on and off. You can release them and still have them on, (head calls!)so you can hook up again without taking your outer garment off, perfect for CCWs. The only drawback is you still have to wear a belt, but this okay for us as you are going to have a belt and holster on anyways. I bought direct from the company.
