At least one person was shot inside a Nashville shopping mall foot court Wednesday night in a targeted attack, authorities said.

The shooting occurred around 6:10 p.m. in the Opry Mills Mall when two groups -- both with armed individuals -- approached each other, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said.

And..."the shooting was an isolated incident"... hmmm....wonder if it was also "mostly peaceful"?

Unless there is a war or an IPSC competition, isn’t a shooting usually an isolated incident?

You’ve gotta love today’s reporting.

One day I want the story to say " Armed individuals with gang affiliation began firing at each other, but armed bystanders killed or subdued all of them in order to prevent them from harming others. Police arrived later to take the attackers into custody"

If an incident happened that way, that isn’t at all how the headline would read.

I know... Those poor gang bangers would be written up like saints. "That boy never hurt nobody.  He had his cell phone in his hand not a gun. That eye witness video lies" Then the greaving family would burn down the mall in all their sadness.

I agree with Ronald 55 about the media. If the bad guys would bleed more often the problems would stop. I may be being a bit selfish but I want places like this for the good guys.

Mills Mall is posted. How did that work for them?

I must admit that I've never seen them.
Full disclosure: I do have A2ASB (Anti 2A Sign Blindness) ...a constant struggle for my optometrist.
