Best RMR for Glock/Handgun?

I basically have my heart set on a Trijicon Type 2 but open to other options, particularly Holosun.

I like the idea of the Solar Failsafe that Holosun has. I don’t know if it is worth anything.

Looking for the ultimate in reliability, not necessarily a range toy.

For my money it’s still an RMR.

But, there are some great sights out there.  You ought to try out more than one if you get a chance - everyone’s eyes are different.

The RMR sets the standard. If you are already leaning in that direction, then the best thing to do is get that. You’ll never be happy by settling for less which is how you will ultimately feel about it if you get anything else.

You are correct about the RMR being the standard. I have several.  I can’t speak to how the Holosuns will hold up to extensive use, but I really like the 507C Green V2. I have three so far.  I like the Eotech like reticle, and unlike the RMR I don’t have issues with my astigmatism with the Holosun.

My War Poet will be arriving with a Holosun. I’ve also got a Swampfox on my Hellcat. I’m not attached to the RMR, but I can still admit that they set the standard.

I've been waiting for the Holosun HE508T-GR-V2 which is basically the 507C green version 2 with a titanium body rather than aluminum.  I already have the  507C-GR-V1.

Non-adjustable.  If it’s going on a fighting gun, you’ll want the bigger dot.

I have five of the Type 2 RM07 6.5MOA dot.  All of them are the adjustable variety.  It works great and I like being able to turn them completely off if they are going to be in my safe for a while.  Love them.

I also have a Gen1 Holosun HE508T red dot.  It's a great dot.  No problems with it and I know from watching Aaron Cowan beat the hell out of them that it's as rugged as an RMR.   I do wish that the dot were a 2MOA or 3MOA instead of the tiny little 1MOA that it has, but I suppose that is why you're supposed to turn on the "ring" reticle and not just run the dot-only reticle.

I see myself picking up HE508T-X2 green dot as soon as they are available.  I want to see for myself if green is as great as @Links2k says it is.  😉

Just kidding.  LOTS of people say it is.  I do want to try it out for myself.

Watch out for that green dot model.

Once you try it, It might have you putting all those red dots up for sale
