Gday all

im new to the forum. 2 years in the USA now.

joined this forum to keep up with local news and info regarding responsible gun ownership.

I must add.. its nice to be able to own a gun legally in the usa!

Great to be in Tennessee

.. but I'm very fond of Alabama ! !!

I could ACTUALLY own a firearm in Australia... just not carry a pistol around...

and the hassle of getting a permit etc was too restrictive for a rifle.

yes... the hype about Australia and the loss of guns was widely inaccurate on both sides of the fence. The common 'crime data' many people saw on gun forums and email lists was usually incorrect and had no real basis in fact.

But thats a whole other discussion
