Smith and Wesson Announces New Optics Ready M&P 2.0 Compact. Available in October 2020.

Expanding our line of M2.0 pistols, we’re excited to introduce an optics ready M&P M2.0 Compact. These new models are chambered in 9mm with a 4” barrel, feature a slide cut for optics, co-witness white-dot front and rear sights, and enlarged forward serrations. This pistol will ship with two 15-round magazines and comes standard with seven mounting plates designed to fit popular slide-mounted optics.

Smith is certainly playing catch up.   Hopefully a Shield with a full size grip will be here before too long.

I received mine this week after finally sourcing one and I wasn't disappointed! Looking forward to hopefully getting it to the range this weekend.  The front serrations and extended slide stop levers are two of my favorite details about this pistol.  S&W has a winner here!
