Ruger American Ranch .300 BLK

Got this one yesterday evening. I’ve only removed the muzzle brake and put on my suppressor QD as well as a different scope.
It’s a BLAST to shoot subs with the can. I enjoy my 10.5” .300 blk SBR but this is just more fun for some reason.

I got out of 300 BLK in the AR platform, but have considered getting one in a bolt gun for subsonic loads.  How is the stock on the Ruger?  I am usually not a big fan of their stability in similar style stocks on some of their other guns.  I would rather put more money into a different gun than having to replace a stock on a new one.

If you are wanting something that feels substantial I’d look elsewhere. It doesn’t feel cheap but it’s not super rigid. I think that’s a plus in the particular gun though. It’s quality and “just enough” for me.

However I have a Ruger American Predator in .308 that I had to swap into a Magpul Hunter stock. The recoil was brutal otherwise.

Thanks, for me it's not so much substantial as solid.  I don't like flex.

I wouldn’t say this one flexes. It feels better than the Rem 700 ADL stocks. It doesn’t feel like it was an afterthought but rather that it was designed to be light and agile. In a lighter caliber.

For a larger caliber it feels out place to me. Hard to describe I guess haha.
