Was at regal range yesterday to snag some pepper gel, they were out. They were also out of everything! Saw some blackwater ammo which is old and rare, but they were literally wiped out of most of their gear! Had a few 509’s but man minimal stock!!Couldnt believe it!!! Did obama come back to guns sales or what!?! Lol

“Defund the police” has also probably spooked a few people into becoming first-time gun buyers.

What happens if we defund the police? I want to know if we are on the same page.

Pandemic/Riot/Looting panic buying....

Try buying 9mm ammo....

Add the upcoming election on top of everything else.  I got caught flat footed leading up to the 2008 election.  Lesson learned.

A lot of people are becoming first time buyers.  Some don't even know how to load one, fire it, or where safety is or anything. When this cools down, I expect to see lots of slightly used handguns, rifles, and shotguns traded in.

Nobody knows, but it appears that various leaders are willing to defund/reduce/eliminate police departments.  I believe that some non-gun owners, as a result, have come to the realization that they may actually be responsible for their own safety and made a trip to the gun shop.

With this many non gun owners now becoming gun owners I expect to hear or read about a lot of gun accidents because they have bought a gun without any training at all and don't have a clue how to use it. I just hope that they have sense enough to keep them up and out of reach of children!!…...JMHO

I was in Acadmeny Sports and Shoot Point Blank yesterday.  Both places were low on fireamrs and ammunition.  AS had hardly any pistol ammunition at all! Shoot Point Blank just had the more uncommon stuff like 10mm.  They had a little bit of .38.  Oddly enough, they had no 40 S&W.  Even that's starting to disappear.

Most don't even know which is the dangerous end. I too, hope no innocent people get hurt.

That's odd, because everything you hear about .40 says its going out of style. Some gun dealers can't sell them. I've gave up looking for normal prices on 9mm.

On another thread, we were talking about the availablity of 40S&W when everything else was sold out.  Several 40 Guys were talking about that being a plus.  But I think the ammo shortage at LGS has finally caught up to the 40.

On a side note, I joined the Bud's Team last night and was able to ordered .380acp 80Gr HPs. It was only open to Bud's Team members.

About the S&W 40-I was looking for a couple more magazine's for my Springfield EMP 3-40 and had 2 ordered thru Springfield-2 months later still no magazine's but I was willing to wait because they were just extra.

I called Springfield not to long after and talked to a sales person to cancel my now ever evident back order that was never going to arrive-his exact word's were that  Springfield quit the manufacture of the EMP all model's in 40S&W-he also remarked how now if they had them they could sell every one.

Was at the shoot point blank in Knoxville the other day and I couldn't believe how scratched clean everything was. Try getting a glock 19/17. Ain't happening.

If I understand your post correctly you are in search of magazines for a Springfield Armory EMP in caliber .40 S&W.

This outfit shows them in stock...https://gunmagwarehouse.com/springfield-armory-1911-emp-ccc-40-s-w-8-round-factory-magazine-blued.html

If anybody does, it would be them.

I went to the link-these are for the EMP 40 but the 4 inch barrel-are a bit too long for the 3 inch model.

Newbies are buying anything that will go bang. Gun shops are taking advantage of this to unload the .40s that have been collecting dust.  Of course these newbies need ammo for their new guns.

Academy Sports was damn near out of firearms period. Harvey's is about the same way.  IBoth are bare as a baby's butt.  On the other hand Cross Roads Firearms, near me, still has a good selection of firearms and at reasonable prices.  Ammunition is another matter, though.

My podcast co-host, Mark, works for a major national distibutor.  He said the sales volume in 2020 has far surpassed the numbers from 2012 after the Newton CT school shooting that Obama capitalized on to push more "assault weapon" bans.

2012 and 2013 were absolute boom years for TGO.  We saw members buy/sell/trade more in that period of time than likely transacted cumulatively in the following five years.  If you weren't in the gun community back then, for Mark to say that 2020 has blown those numbers away is honestly just staggering for me to consider.

My brother called 2 nights ago asking about ammo, 9mm. My sister and BIL just called asking me about buying a 9mm pistol and ammo. I told them both to buy ammo if they can find it and a pistol if they can find one. We had the talk about being late to the party and both (brother and sister) said "yes we know".

I do not push my ways on my family, wish I had that to do over.
