Well, I'm sure the TN legislature will be blown away by 200 votes in a small town newspaper.

I think these things are just more of a gauge for the paper to see how their readers feel. Nothing more.

Probably true. If there ever were to be a negative vote, however, I bet the Tennessean, Commercial Appeal, and others of their ilk would trumpet it to the skies.
