Granddaughter graduated from AIT at Ft. Lenoardwood, Mo. on Wed. first duty station at FT. Campbell, Ky with the 716 MP Battalion, 101 St. Arbne Div. Air Assault. Will be arriving on Friday. One of my old duty stations, Proud grandfather.

You should go up and visit...you'll be amazed at how much Fort Campbell, and especially the area around it has changed.

Went over Sunday and helped them unload moving trailer and returned " Willie" granddaughters dog.. Different world from when was stationed there in 67-68. Too many people crammed in too small a place for me to be comfortable. Last time was on Ft. Campbell  late 80's was looking at some equipment in one of their spot auctions . Just drove in the back gate off hwy 79. A lot of housing construction going on around and in Clarksville.

I did basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood way back in 1972. At the time we lived in those old wooden WW II barracks known as 30 second fire traps. I guess they're long gone. Sorta just passed through Ft. Campbell. Wasn't there very long at all. Haven't been up that way in many years. 

Congratulations to your Granddaughter! I'm sure she'll do ya proud.  :up:
