So tomorrow being my birthday my wife is gonna let me spend a little money. She told me to get any holster I wanted but since I had already ordered that. Im gonna add some night sights to my new XDM. Whats up with the TRUGLO TFO,s Ive heard good things about them. Has antone got any Exp with these? Also would you go green all the way round or yelllow rear & green front?

Or Woud you go the Mepro light route? Ive even seen some Dawson firesights I liked. Also who would you recommend to install them & about what does a install cost?

Truglo TFO's on my XD. They work great in low light and even complete darkness. Green on green too. I only really expected them to help me find my front sight in the dark and they do very well.

I bought them at Guns and Leather, and walked next door to Jeff Walle who installed them while I stood there. His quote on pricing was "whatever you think its worth."

I slipped him a $20 and we both seemed happy. It only took him about 5 minutes.

I had the TFO's on both XD's I had and REALLY liked them. Not so much for night use but because they were also super bright in the day time. I've used Mepro's and Ameriglo's and they just didn't do much for me day time wise. I've heard some limited reports of fiber optics coming loose, but I think that was pretty much proven wrong on the XDtalk forum. I would definitely recommend the green/yellow combination. Makes picking up the front sight a lot easier.

On a side note I have some Suresights for an XD9 that I would give someone a good deal on if they want them. Work as advertised. I took them off to save for a future XD I never got.
