SC Justices don’t trust Roberts. He is getting flaky!

I haven't trusted Roberts since the Obama Care fiasco. No one will ever convince me that someone doesn't have something on him. Someone is pulling his strings.

Roberts isn't flaky at all, he's who he's always presented himself to be...a government first protectionist.  As such, he doesn't want to put a broad scope on the 2nd amendment, because then government doesn't have the option to clamp down if that's the desired course.

It’s better to deny the cases now than to risk bad case law.

This issue alone is why not just Trump, but the Senate is so important right now.

Everything about Roberts is now clear after the SC rewrote the Civil Rights Act without legislation, over-site, or legality. Same as they did with Obama-Care. The Executive (ironically not somuch Trump) and Judicial branches are moving without checks. It may be better that they ignored the 2a cases at the moment. Even Gorsuch's own words contradicted and confused themselves in an attempt to make an illegal ruling seem appropriate.

Yes, ignoring the 2a cases is probable a good thing at the moment.

Roberts strikes again

The Supreme Court ruled Thursday against the Trump administration’s effort to end the Obama-era program that offers legal protections to young immigrants brought to the country illegally as children.

The court ruled that the administration's decision to rescind the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), which sets out rulemaking procedures for federal agencies.

In a 5-4 decision, with Chief Justice John Roberts joining the liberal members to author the opinion, the court said the move to eliminate the program was done in an "arbitrary and capricious" manner although they did not rule on the merits of the program itself.

It's clear someone has him by the short hairs. All you have to do is read the Sibelius decision in 2012, where Roberts tracked right along in his analysis of the facts and the law, UNTIL the end, where he flip-flopped and said "yeah, it's a tax, all right" !  I've heard from lawyers practicing in DC that folks who were there the day the decision was read said Roberts looked like he'd seen a ghost when the Court was up on the bench for the decision.

And, yeah, Oswald acted alone, all right...
