I had ordered a new holster from K&D for my M&P 40 fs,I called Kevin this Morning,Talked to Cindy,Kevins Lady, and asked her to make the Thunderbird Defender, to fit the Colt instead, she said no problem, but I wont get that holster for 4 months,I need a decent holster,I can buy online, that is a stock order,so I can get it in a week or so,a IWB holster,Im dying,I have this great gun and dont even have a holster to carry it in, until I get the one from K&D in about 4 or 5 months.Do any of you 1911 guys out there have any suggestions???I know all of you proabbly have custom holsters for yours, but you had to wait like Im haveing to do too....So what did you use while you waited???Thanks for any help..... :D

Heres some nice leather in Stock. Also his turnaround is around 3 to 4 weeks for a custom job. I have a Tunderbird on order with Keviv as well. I feel your pain.

If you want to get a holster even more quickly, you could call Comp-Tac and order a MTAC. I wouldnt be surprised if after ordering it today it was in your hands Monday or Tuesday.

Brownell's usually has all three 1911 sizes of Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 holsters in stock for $85. I've gotten two from them in a couple of days. Same for a buddy of mine.

Take a look at the CrossBreed SuperTuck or the D.M. Bullard. I got my SuperTuck in less than a week.

I have the SuperTuck for a M&P40c (That I don’t have anymore). It’s really nice I just don’t care for Kydex, so I think I’m going to try the D.M. Bullard for my 3†Kimber SIS.

Custom holsters?? I don’t keep a gun long enough to wait for a holster. :)
