Anybody have a favorite in .223 for groundhog? I decided to work up a round based on Accurate 2230/CCI#41/sierra 60gr fbhp/federal brass. I might be able to load some this weekend. I lost my freaking small sized shell holder for my lee autoprimer. If i find it, i should be in some high cotton by sunday.

IIRC, AA2230 with 55-60gr projectiles is listed at 22-25.6gr on their website. Double check those numbers on the web page.

Thats off a little, in the accurate manual it lists a 25gr max charge for a 55gr bullet in 2230...so if you are using it you might want to doublecheck a few other sources. 25.6 is going to shoot pretty hot from my limited experience with it, so I recommend caution. I won't post exact load info on the web, sorry.

you are correct. 25gr of AA 2230 is listed as max.

Anybody shooting the nosler 60gr partition bullet? Darn things are expensive. I picked up a box of federal factory vital shok's with the 60gr partition bullet in them. 22 bucks plus tax...I notice they are cannelured and crimped where just the bullets from nosler are not.

I figure I can chrono them and see what I can do reloading wise to match them. Going to be a $45 experiment, looks like.
