Has anyone had any dealings or owned one of these pistols. The Witness etc. Have a friend looking at one. They have a pistol on their site that has 6 interchangable barrels. just curious what kinda quality they are? Not to high on their prices.

I have a EAA Zastava EZ 9 that I'm very happy with. The pistol is very well made and accurate. Excellent quality for the price.

The Witness pistols that I have handled were very nice.

I've had 4 Witness pistols. A steel Wonder finish 45acp, a steel blued 45acp, a full size polymer Wonder finish 9mm and my current favorite gun, a full size steel blued 9mm.

Needless to say I like them a lot. They are well made but what makes them favorites of mine is the handling and natural pointing characteristics. I have also had 2 CZ75's and the Witness pistols are better (imho). Over the years Tanfoglio has made several improvements to the original CZ design that make it easier to take apart and also handle better.

As for EAA, not so good. I have never had any real problems dealing with them (ordering mags or floorplates, etc.) but from some of the stories I have read on the net I must be lucky. It has been said for years that if a decent distributor ever got the Tanfoglio handgun import franchise they would really take off in this country. Notice the transformation of the unheard of HS2000 into the XD phenomenon.

But I do love those Witness pistols!

Yeah, I sold one a few years back to a friend and hopefully it will be back in my possession this weekend. I've regreted it the entire time.

EAA Witness Compact, wonder finish, all steel. Awesome. $ for $ it is the best pistol I've owned. Eats every type of ammo, loves reloads, awesome carry gun, accurate as can be.

I must say, i've fondled the plastic ones and they felt awful. I prefer all steal. Going to get rid of this XD 45c.

A shop up the street from me has a all steel compact for around 450$. Gun feels great in the had. He only has the 10mm though.

I have an EAA Windicator in 38 special and it is enjoyable to shoot. Nicely made and worth the price, I think I will have it for many years.

Only thing I have read about on my gun is that it is not recommend to shoot +P loads as it is not built for that. Other than this, great gun.

I had an EAA 38. special ... ugly, and heavy. But it did its job and was actually fun to shoot...it resides beside my brothers bed now.
