Hey all the names Eric, and I originally come from the state of Oregon, transplanted here by the U.S Army. Been a soldier for the last 22 years, retired almost two years ago, and wouldn't you just know it I am still in Iraq working for the government. I claim residence in Clarksville, TN because I was a Screaming Eagle before I left the military and I love the area. I carry an XD-40, have P-85mkII Ruger and of couse the ever popular Ruger 10/22, have plans to purchase a XDM and an AR if I can figure out which brand and caliber best suits me, that and I think XD's are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I like to shoot of course whether it be just plinking, or target shooting but would like to learn to reload. Also like to fish and do some wood working.

I enjoy reading the various topics in this forum and learning about other peoples opinions, I am glad my co-worker here enlighted me to this site it gives me something more interesting to read and take part in than the mindless dribble that you find on the internet.

Welcome to TGO. Relatively new here, as well, but I like the community and tone of the folks here a lot. Very helpful, friendly and willing to share lots of info for newbie's like me. Have fun on the forum.
