Romanian AIMS 74

Uh oh, dummy me. I forgot the romanian's patterned their 74's after their AKM's, unlike the russian or bulgarian version in 5.45. Now with the pictures, I also see a new looking barrel which tells me green mountain or other US made copy. That and the fact you're a first time builder drops the value even more.

I had mine built 8-9 years ago by a local builder for $250 including the NDS-2 SF "with plate" receiver and the kit was $189 w/ original barrel. Over 3k of 7N6 later, it's still as tight as the day it was built. I wanted the BFPU look, so I used steel wool to remove most of the paint. I think it turned out rather nice.

I'm looking at the handle on the floor there. Do you have to pull start an AK?!

The cable/handle is used to deploy/retrieve the trolling motor.
