And a nice one it is!

I'm using factory pictures until I get the camera back, which should be some time tonight.

I hope she has better luck with it than some of the horror stories I've witnessed and heard about. It looks real nice though. I was gonna get one, but I think I'll opt to buy the Rock Island Tactical instead.

It seems mechanically sound to me, even though I've only given it an amateur's twice-over during a field strip and lube.

Magazine ejection is positive! Even with empty mags, it is VERY positive.

Hammer spring strength is very good.

Magazines are a bit stiff, but that's expected.

Hammer pull (manually pulling it back) is surprisingly light for how hard it can hit, it can really throw a pencil during the pencil test!

Hand-feeding is reliable with mags loaded to all eight rounds, and seven rounds.

"Taurus Safety System" is still unused, of course :D

I only wish I'd remembered that it came with a bushing wrench before I already had it back together :meh:

Cool..I hope that works out for y'all...

Certainly LOOKS like a nice 1911, and I've seen more positive than negative on them in a year or so of reading gun boards...

By the way, did you get out to Norris Monday?

I didn't see your post till Tuesday, or might well have joined you..

Managed not to, because the person taking us TV-shopping (mine DIED, completely) was about four hours late, and we didn't get out till dark (when the range closes)

I've found mine to be an excellent pistol. I didn't care much for the billboards on the slide, so a little dab of dura-coat fixed my only complaint...

If only it weren't so expensive :hat:

I know I've seen some freaky colored firearms, but I think I'm going to check out jsut what colors of duracoat there are.

I only put a mag through it, so far. Smooth, and accurate.

I have a PT 1911 AR. I have put about 250 rounds through it both hard ball and hollow points. No problems at all, except that I had a hard time adjusting to the sight picture at first, then at 10 yards just one big ragged hole. By the way it came from CCA, Thanks guys. I can't go into a gun store and just window shop!

I have shot 50 or so rounds through my buddies it's a nice pistol. I would say he has 7-900 rounds through it. He shot the rear sight loose once and it cost him a couple of points on his IDPA score. Other than that he loves his.
