How to replace CZ 257 Bolt

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I own a CZ 257, .233 American. The whole bolt is missing and I need to replace it. Will I need to send this rifle to a gun smith or is this a part I can buy at a shop or on the internet? I'm not very familiar with gun lingo so please keep it simple for me! Thanks!

If the part linked in the post above is what you are missing, then call CZ.  Explain how you acquired the rifle and what is missing and see what they can do for you.   The folks over at CZ-USA are pretty good and they will be able to help you out.

Since no one has asked the obvious...what happened to the original bolt?

I think the gun was inherited so I would imagine it was lost by the previous owner. I can easily see someone storing the bolt separately for safety and it being lost in the estate.

Ask your Ex if he will give it back. Then all you have to do is drop it in. 🙃
