I haven't heard anyone talk about 107's on here.

I'm not sure how much quieter it would be, I suspect not that much.

I have to double up hearing protection while shooting my 82A1

Honestly I would think it's worth it if it dropped the noise factor from 5 inch naval gun down to a SMAW. And yeah I double up also. Hard to believe I used to sit behind a M2 with nothing but fluffed up cigarette bits in my ears.

Honestly I like it loud, I always give the line a warning, it sure puts a smile on my face scaring the sh!t out of the guy next to me.....
