Just curious to know if any of you has experience with this rifle?   The one I'm looking at is brand new in the box and is chambered in .308.  Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have only shot mine a few times but really like everything about it. My brother has shot his a bunch and is very satisfied. No issues or complaints so far.

Bought it and equipped it with a Nightforce scope and rings.  Can't wait to shoot it.

I own a Sig 716G2 DMR with a Nightforce 5-25x56 ATACR on top of it and it is very accurate for the length of barrel and being a semi auto.It is sub MOA at 100 off of a bag and bipod, I've shot down to .65" 5 shot groups with it. I shoot at Strategic Edge and have made several accurate 1,000 yard shots with it, even stepped out to the 1,250 yard range with it as well but at that range I've got spin drift and going transonic so its not near as fun. Shooting 175 Grain SMK with CFE223 powder in Lapua Brass.

Would highly recommend

I have a Gen 1 716 DMR.  I like it very much.  Especially the 4 settings for the gas piston, something that went to 2 settings (I think) on the second generation platform.  I believe the first generation also has a barrel a couple of inches longer than the gen 2 model.  Before getting this 716 I had cut my teeth on various AR-10 platforms trying to find a reliable host for my suppressor.  Rock River Arms LAR was no good for me.  The Adams Arms .308 had troubles.  DPMS Super SASS was also far from flawless when suppressed.  Although I cannot say that the 716 has not been 100% flawless suppressed, it has been darn close.  I take it out to 600 yards regularly and 850 yards occasionally.  It is a heavy beast.  I always use if from a bench or prone.  I can't imagine toting this gun around for long on a sling and shooting for long unsupported standing.
