What's the thing on top?
Which thing? The optic is an Elcan SpectreDR, and the thing up front is a Laser Devices DBAL-I2 infrared pointer/infrared illuminator/green laser.

That thing probably looks pretty cool with some night vision on...or does the elcan have night vision?

That setup costs more than my Dodge Ram!

Nope, no night vision built into the Elcan. It has a red dot for 1x mode, and an illuminated, compensated crosshair for 4x mode. Imagine if an Aimpoint and an ACOG got together and made a baby...an ugly, brown, 2-pound baby...that cost more than than the two of them combined... :D

Sorry about the scope, I had someone mount it just for the pic and I was not there and did not look close before I posted. It is a BSA but it is not for sale, I love the eye relief on it.

Very nice. I guess you've already noticed that the Magpul "recoil pad" might as well be made out of concrete. Mine is giving me a Magpul tatoo... the hard way.

That's some brand loyalty right there, folks.

Most of their stocks go on poodle shooters, so I kinda understand. My .458 kicks like a mule sometimes. It's still the best stock for the gun (ACS). Just wish somebody would make a real recoil pad for it.

Ahh Mike Man Up!!!!!

My 5 foot 6, 110 pound wife thinks the 458 is a whimps gun LOL

I just replaced my KAC M5 rail with a Magpul MOE. I just didn't like having all that rail and weight when all I had mounted was a bipod.

Next I'm picking up a new scope, probably a Burris fullfield II 3x9 in a PEPR mount.

Then I'm looking at a new stock of some sort, either a RRA operator A2 stock or the Magpul PRS stock.
