Moody....tell me more about your "Jeff" gun. Did you take him a mil spec and let him have at it, or are they building off of Springfields now? What options did you go with?

Left gun is an old Clark custom Hardball done by Jim Clark himself. The gun on the right is a SWC match gun. Done by some guy who was apparently one of the top 1911 guys back in the late 50's.

They were both my grandfathers' pistols. The Hardball is my EDC.

I have so many...it would talk a while to photo them.

Oh please! You've got, like four. Take iPhone pictures and post them up.

Yes sir - it is based off of a MilSpec. Hero Gear isn't using anything Springfield for the foundation, though - this is just one that I bought with intentions of having Jeff work it over. HG is still using Caspian, from what I believe.

Quick specs of this gun are:

Springfield forged frame and slide

Ed Brown grip safety

Hero Gear trigger

Wilson Combat full-length 2-piece guide rod

Ed Brown barrell bushing

Ed Brown hardware (add'l.)

Wolff recoil

Wilson Combat Target Hammer

Ed Brown Magwell

Cylinder & Slide various hardware

Custom checkering at 20LPI on the front strap

Parkerized slide, tactical-grey frame

Slide cut for Novak night sights

Other items that I cannot quite remember off of the top of my head

Everyone else is posting pictures of past and present...like you did also. I've had like 22 now.

I've only got 4 out of 6, now. You can post at least 4-5, and SHOW THEM OFF. GAH! JOHN!

How do you like those grips? I originally had them on my T3. They are great grips, but they were much too aggressive for my taste.

Had this one for a while. Got it in trade on TGO some time ago. It's the Crimson Carry Pro. Very lightweight. Shoots great.web.jpg?ver=13128447760001

Just got this one in a trade from a fellow TGO'r. It is smaller than most 1911's in 45. It is still just as heavy as most though. Shoots like a dream.

Shot at a 2" circle from 10 meters outside in the pouring rain Saturday afternoon. 8 shots made one ragged hole inside the 2" circle. Standing, holding gun, no bench rest. I'm sure this gun will shoot much better than I can (or even better than I can see).
