Here is my Rock Island 1911 A1

I love a 1911 GI model. NO beaver tail or fancy sights needed. Just pull the trigger and let it go bang.

Yeah, you suck :tinfoil:......Unless my mind changes between on and whenever, that's what I want when I get a .45 1911. If I hadn't got such a good deal when I bought my EMP, I was seriously thinking about buying one of these. Had a great feel to it.

Yeah I have an EMP to unload that im refusing to shoot because I know I will want to keep it and the class III kinda trumps a beautiful compact 1911 :tough: Im still lovin the DW anytime you wanna get together and shoot your welcome to try her out.

Mike, those are some of the best photos I've seen. care to share your technique?

The hardest part about my technique is clearing off the desk to shoot. I keep the camera in automatic. Light it up well and check my white balance. The Nikon does the rest... Just a bit of touch up in photoshop to erase the SN's and resize.

WOW. Just bought a Sig5.56 pistol and thought I would be done with handguns for a while. Then I see these and think how my sole 1911 needs a little brother........

You guy's got some awesome hardware!

Something old; Something new; Nothing borrowed; Something kind of blued.

The kimber I've had for a few months now, just put new rosewood slim grips on it.

The Remington Rand is a recent acquisition. It has had a little monkey business, but it appears to be the good kind. All parts on it are now original rand parts if not original to the gun (the slide stop being the most obvious, and the lanyard loop has been removed). I got it with a changed trigger and target sights. It was clearly a shooter, and I know why. The target picture is a 14 shot group @ 15 yards standing. I'm no great shot, but the rand is every bit as accurate as the kimber. Hammer bite sucks, but the gun just feels good. I actually like to shoot it more than any other handgun, I am just reluctant to shoot it too much. I will probably put a few more range trips on it then keep it as is. I am hoping to add one of the colt reissues to the pile soon too.

I used to carry mine alot, until I got a Glock. Now it's a safe queen. Maybe one day I'll get it back out to play.

(sorry, pics suck pretty bad)
