As seen in other threads... My 2000 Kimber Pro-Carry SLE (Stainless Limited Edition).

dot_pistol.gifPRO CARRY SLE (2000): 1329 produced. Stainless Limited Edition. First all stainless slide and frame 4” barrel Pro Carry. Identical to Stainless Pro Carry except stainless frame. Produced at the request of Kimber Master Dealers, the pistol went into the catalog for 2001 and subsequent production as the Pro Carry HD.

Did you do the work on that gun? I have never heard of Ed doing any work to a Rock Island Arms pistol, please fill me in..:eek:

No willis68, a smith out of the tri cities built it, I stole it at a gun show from a safe dealer, traded a rifle for it, best deal I ever made. No , If the people at Ed Brown had done it Im sure it would be alot fancier. Although all the works are Ed Brown along with a Dura-Coat finish, very accurate out to 100 yards. I love it.

Does Rock Island have an "official" website? I can't find one to save my life.

Technically, no, they don't. However, their "parent company" that actually makes the 1911 handguns, does. They are produced by Armscor, in the Philippines.
