To be truthful, I am almost convinced that 1911s don't play the role of 'guns' so much as they are dress up dolls for gun owners. Hmmm...maybe if/when I get one I'll name it "Barbie".

Cheap old Rock Island fat body, Fusion ignition parts and trigger. Wilson Combat stuff on the

rear. Kimber Ambi safety. Thinking maybe sights are next. Very tight for a cheap gun. Shoots better

than I can.

My budget 1911. Rock Island Armory I gave $275 for the gun, and $25 for the comp. I have a good friend at work who is a gun smith. He fitted the comp and put the target sights on. Worked the trigger over as well. Shoots like a dream for $300. It even came with a Novak mag.
