Lovely pistols, one and all. Especially the vintage pistols actually used in battle. Here is mine. Sig 1911 TACOPS.

My new 1911/2011 centennial JMB commemorative pistol for USPSA Limited division. This was built by Tim Calhoun, and this picture does not do it justice. Tim did a beautiful job. It is tight as a vault, plenty fast and flat, and accurate as hell. I'm going to shoot it in the white for a few months and maybe have Tim whittle a little more weight off the slide before it's off to Ion-Bond.

Happy New Year!

That is totally sweet. I love the STI 2011 frames.

Whittled away at the slide and frame a bit more. This is how it will look until ion-bonded. By far the flattest shooting limited gun I have ever shot.

Actually, here is my Ruger as of today. New VZ grips and a Wilson Combat magwell I bead blasted to match the satin finish. I think I am going to bevel the bottom of the grips to match the contour of the magwell better.

metro arms america classic II.(picked this one up from a member...thanks tgo!) ive put about 200 rounds through it and its been flawless. was a little worried at first bc of it being an "off brand" but its been good to me so far. the addiction has started...im sure there will be more 1911s in my future lol.

Found a "Diamond in the Rough" Smith and Wesson 1911PD "Gunsite" Edition. I polished the trigger for a nice touch to match the hammer and front bushing. Ordered some Meprolights for it since it only came with blank rear Novak and a brass bead front which is fine for desert shooting with full sun but worthless at night.

P.S. This 1911 is 6 years old....cant even tell!

Thank you...I love 1911s and thought "why not", give my old a** some nice toys. Most accurate 1911 I've shot, now I can actually hit at long distance with the Crimson Trace grips. My eyesight is just not so good anymore.

I wouldn't mind wearing that to a Bar-B-Que!

This is one of the sweetest combos I've seen in a looong time. And those grips! Great!

Also agree with your rationale for buying. I've used it somewhat myself. But you have surpassed me by far.

Thank you for the nice comments!

The grips look nicer than what I expected. Actually, I ignored CT for a long time thinking “I didn’t need those things”….I changed my mind after trying them and realizing they’re not a crutch but a tool! I would love to have some custom grips from Sarge or VZ but the Kobra is my carry, so the CT grips are staying on.
