This gun was built for Clint, and featured in an article he wrote about the history of Thunder Ranch 1911s.

The picture didnt turn out too hot.

The gun in front was carried by my Grandfather in WWII and was purchased when he left the army after the war. Still have all the paperwork showing purchase from the gov't.

The one in back in a base Springfield G.I. that I picked up last week.

I will probably pick up another 1911 sometime later this year for a carry gun.

Wow! that gun is amazing!

You are so lucky to have not only a piece of our history but one your grandfather actually carried.

Cherish it!

Beautiful 1911s Joe, and Easilyobsessed that wwII 1911 looks to be in fantastic condition. Hold on to her for dear life, that is a special firearm to ANY 1911 buff, much less the grandson of the man who carried it!

That's crazy talk. I've yet to see a 1911 that wasn't a thing of beauty.

Also carried by my Grandfather in WWII. 1945 Remington Rand frame and a 1945 Colt Slide. My dad had it refinished(aaaargh) in the late 80's. Never shot it never will.P5120002.jpgP5120010.jpg
