Only 3 States that have Constitutional Carry allow resident only, Idaho, North Dakota and Wyoming, the others that have it allow folks from States that have Constitutional Carry allow them to carry without a permit.  All states touching TN that have permitless less carry honor citizens of any state.

Like I mentioned before, I have a lifetime permit so I get nothing out of this. I still want better for my fellow citizens for whom this does benefit. I’ll take it on the incremental win that it is, but I t still needs work and the legislature will continue to need to be pressed on that front.

Exactly.

I’ll add this… I put zero importance on how any of this impacts my ability to carry in another state…zero.

I in no way support any kind of federal carry permits, or allowing the Feds to place their heavy hand in our gun laws.

Reciprocity between two states needs to be just that.

The bill is not constitutional carry at all when only Tennessee residents can carry without a permit. 

Constitutional carry is when all legal people can carry openly or concealed.

So this applies only to legal Tennessee residents? Does that mean our huge illegal population won't be allowed to carry?
