Overwatch Precision Triggers for M&P Handguns??

I’ve never been a trigger snob and until getting an M&P Performance Center with an absolutely terrible trigger, I never used an aftermarket trigger in a semi-auto pistol. Never needed one really. But I wanted the M&P C.O.R.E. Performance Center gun to be a good range target gun. So I had to replace the Trigger. I used an Apex 100-B54 Sear & Trigger kit. The total for the trigger, assembly blocks and shipping was $223.35.

The Apex was, by far, better than the S&W Performance Center trigger. But in my opinion not the magnificent day/night trigger I read about on the forums. I’m not saying its not an excellent trigger, but its not a “breaks like a 1911 trigger”. At least not like my 1911’s.

So after buying my M&P 2.0 Compact 4” I kicked around the idea of adding a trigger. At the time Apex was about the only option for the M&P. Now I have stumbled onto Overwatch Precision Triggers. They cost more than an Apex. I have no idea how long they have been around, but it makes me wonder why they are priced higher than the Apex? Are they better or is it a marketing ploy?

Anyone have one?

Interesting timing as I just purchased one for my Glock 43x.  Not necessarily a good comparison as they are different platforms. But I have tried Agency, Zev, and Haley Strategic in Glocks. The Overwatch Precision trigger I got for the 43x seems well made and definitely cleaned up and shortened the pretravel a little. The flat trigger shoe is the most comfortable of all my triggers. The Agency is about the same but with even more pretravel removed and is my favorite all around. The Zev is clean and smooth but the trigger safety irritates my finger as it seems to have a sharp corner. Also Zev has the most pretravel of the group.

I had never heard of Overwatch Precision until I gave it a try. It did exactly what I expected and I'm happy with it. It did not lighten the trigger pull weight but cleaned it up and shortened it. Also made the trigger more comfortable to my delicate finger.  It seems close to the same as others in pricing and they have a variety of colors to make you look cool.  In my case I just purchased the trigger bar and shoe so I knew it wouldn't lighten the trigger pull.  The M&P kit has a lot more to it and I imagine will definitely improve a stock M&P. I owned several before switching to Glock and the triggers were less than ideal. Apex is tried and true in the M&P world but I like new shiny things so I would probably gamble.

I have used Apex, Zev, Overwatch and a few more I only have Glocks now and Johnny Glock makes the best triggers I have ever seen in any gun. He uses the OEM parts and refined them to perfection of you have Glocks they are amazing
