Newest toy is an M&P 2.0 9 Compact. 0394805C-8CFA-4055-B660-0B7448C0648B.thumb.jpeg.a964db879365a892bf5c41fe22b345fc.jpeg

Very jelly of that purchase! I’m looking for one right now at a reasonable price. I have several M&P (Full size, shield, compact, etc) and by far my favorite is my Compact 22. I can’t think of a more perfect gun size wise and shootability than a Compact. It does everything perfectly. I bought my shield 2.0 9mm on black friday in an EDC kit and it has the red  Crims, but a week later I found my Compact 22 and immediately regretted not buying the 9mm in a Compact.

OH MY!!   What are you gonna be shooting...a bazooka?

For the true meaning of the 2nd we have the God given right to own, yes a bazooka. However the 2nd has been stepped on WAY to much!!!

The biggest we have is 7.62 NATO and 7mm REM MAG, They are AR500 plate I picked up from a member here. I think the targets will work fine, puts them at an angle to make the fragments hit the ground.

That engraved scene is awesome, bubba. Well done.

Thanks! I felt the engraving was amazing on this one. Based on the initials of the engraver, and a little research, seems it was engraved by Marie Magis. She did excellent work based on my research. Some of her higher end Brownings are really works of art.

S&W 629 Classic 6" 44Mag.  I've wanted a .44 mag for 30 years or more but it was hard to spend that much money for something I would not carry or shoot that much.  Now I don't know why I waited so long.

Curiosity got the best of me on having a 1911 that was chambered in 22 and had a fixed barrel. Seemed good in theory. The heft and fixed barrel seem to put it right on target. Sure ain’t no Smith & Wesson, but for what it cost it’s fun.

Bought a S&W steel front sight for the above mentioned gun (plastic from the factory).

I also polished the gun because I didn’t like the finish from Chiappa. Did some work on the feed ramp, and I’m currently building a steel magazine for it (there is only plastic available).

It’s turning into a great little shooter. I can shoot the exact same spot every time stacking bullets in bullet holes in the target.

Now onto finishing making a custom steel magazine out of 20 ga steel.

Can you shoot that at the range? Most I've been to are pretty picky on scatter-guns.

Good to hear, however a bit off-base given the topic title...most of us think "range" as more public.

Yes, if you have a range on your property you are more than welcome to post here.

I'm jealous of those that do.

I keep telling my wife, the next time I move, if we do, we are moving to somewhere that I can walk outside in my underwear and crocs, with a cup of coffee, and shoot. I may even post pictures of that.

Its been a while since I've posted anything, so I thought I would take a moment away from working on holsters and redesigning my website to post a couple pics of my latest "toy".

spacer.pngspacer.png

I decided I wanted to build something a little different for target and hunting purposes so I chose a 6.5 Grendel.

I basically wanted something that would be "compact" and that I could suppress later down the road and still have a "shorter" OAL.

The scope that's on it is not going to stay, its just what I had laying around till I decide on an optic.

Build list...

ODIN Works 12" barrel
ODIN Works BCG
ODIN Works Adjustable gasblock
ODIN Works XMR 3 Extended Mag Release
ODIN Works Ambidextrous Modular Safety
GIBBZ ARMS billet SIDE CHARGING UPPER RECEIVER
RISE ARMAMENT RA535 trigger
PSA Lower parts kit
SBA3 pistol brace
Magpul MOE Grip

I haven't gotten out to the range yet but hopefully I will have time to do so soon.
